Gilda's Club Desert Cities

March 6, 2006 marked a "first" for a wonderful tournament at the Springs Club to benefit Gilda's Club Desert Cities.

A lush Golf Course and elegant Dinner were only a part of the
activities, which included a Raffle and spectacular Silent and Live Auctions!

March 8, 2006 was another exciting Games Day event at the Fantasy Springs Convention Center,
located at the elegant Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio.
Guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with a buffet luncheon and, of course,
GAMES: Pan, Canasta, Mah Jongg, Bridge, Gin & Poker!

Event Co-Chairs Lilly Ann Rothstein (far left) and Phyllis Greene (far right) presented a plaque of appreciation to the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians for their wonderful support of Games Day.
Accepting the plaque is April Rosales-Palmer, Tribal Member and Liason to General Council,
and Danny Washington, Tribal Representative.

March 16, 2006 brought fun in the sun once again, at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The private suite was enjoyed by the members & guests attending.

Dusty Wings of the Desert hosted an exciting evening of dining and dancing, to benefit Gilda's Club Desert Cities, on March 18, 2006. The event proved to be loads of fun and very successful. We thank all of our Dusty Wings friends for their thoughtful consideration of Gilda's Club!

The dedication of the Dr. Sebastian George Community Room at Gilda's Club
was held on June 8, 2006. In memory of this beloved man, it was a truly touching time for family, friends, and co-workers who gathered together to share their experiences and love for Dr. George.

This portrait of Dr. Sebastian George was originally located at the Cancer & Blood Institute. Gilda's Club Desert Cities is honored to give it a new home in the Community Room dedicated in his name. Juliette stands by his side, in loving memory of her husband.

Our special Boutique, Luncheon and Fashion Show was enjoyed by 850 guests, providing tremendous love and support to Gilda's Club Desert Cities. The November 16th event was held at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, California.
