Our Much-Anticipated Gilda's Club Kitchen Expansion and Facility Improvement Project is About to Begin!

Kitchen Man

Here's what you need to know:

WHEN:  Starts Monday, April 20 with closing off of affected spaces and the first week devoted to demolition. Ends by the end of July.

WHERE:  Closed-off areas include the kitchen, Noogieland, the farthest-back support group room (Paula Kennedy Room), and the side-by-side bathrooms.

IMPACT:  No kitchen access during the project-a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee will be moved to the Community Room

Some support groups and other activities may be temporarily relocated, and all changes will be announced

Children and teens will meet in the Community Room on Thursday nights

Please keep an eye out for further announcements as we go along. Read more here...

Please do your part to ensure great programs and the funding to make it all happen!

Tell Us What You ThinkYour feedback is vital to us.

Your input helps Gilda’s Club provide the very best services possible. Also, we are a non-profit organization and in order to provide our free-of-charge services we rely on donations and grants. We must provide reports to our donors using data collected from evaluations such as this one in order to demonstrate what we do and how our services are helping people affected by cancer. Your individual responses are anonymous and no personal information is ever released to funders or anyone else!

When someone in the family is diagnosed with cancer, many parents first thought is, "What do we tell our kids?" Some parents may debate even telling them at all. However, even if parents don't tell their children, children of all ages can still feel the impact of an illness on a family.
