How to use the Research Library

The Jennifer Diamond Cancer Research Library at Gilda's Club is a 'supervised research library.' The library is open only when someone is available to assist you in finding the materials you need.
We request that you do not use the computers or phone in the library for personal use.
Please ask someone to assist you in the library.
This is a research library only. Books are not to be checked out; rather, you may use them freely in the building.
We have a small selection of interesting audio and visual items as well. DVD's, VHS and CD's can be experienced on our Computers, as well as the TV in the Library. We welcome you to use The Teen Room to relax and enjoy a DVD with your family or friends at any time during our business hours.
The Jeffrey Bernstein Comedy DVD collection is available for our members. Please see the librarian if you would like to view one of these DVD's in the Clubhouse.
Many brochures and magazines are donated and may be taken; Please ask.
You are welcome to use our copy machine for copying articles from any books, periodicals and reference materials from your research. (No other personal use, please). If the printer is empty of paper or ink, please notify the librarian.
We have provided headsets for any audio listening. Please return them to the librarian when you are finished.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are looking for volunteers to devote some time in the library to help with on-going maintenance, as well as helping patrons in the right direction. If you are interested, please call Thea North at (760) 770-5678. We will train you!
